The California State Athletic Commission today upheld the suspension for former EliteXC heavyweight champion Antonio Silva following a positive test for the banned steroid Boldenone after his second-round TKO victory over Justin Eilers at EliteXC’s “Unfinished Business” show on July 26.
Silva is suspended one-year from the event date and will be required to pay a fine of $2,500. His camp reportedly still maintains that Silva is completely innocent and has never taken any performance-enhancing drugs due to a medical condition that would make it too dangerous for him to do so.
