Cro Cop Out of Pride GP

Mirko Filipovic has reportedly decided to not participate in the semi-final round of Pride’s Open-Weight Grand Prix on September 10th due to monetary issues. Cro Cop has stated that the purse for winning the tournament is not enough for possibly having to fight twice in one night to win the event.

definately a possibility. could go either way due to the problems PRIDE is having at the current time.

Seems like a Klitschko type of fighter. I&#8217m thinking that Pride might give in and pay up before the second round beings - Cro Cop has apparently received a pretty hefty offer to jump ship over to the WFA. I don&#8217t think Pride wants to lose yet another one of their biggest stars&#8230

that woudl be up to pride. i am not familiar with how they do business or as to how much he is wanting. but i do know that he is a big name for pride and draws a crowd so i think they should offer him some more if they plan to make everyone happy. just because he fights for money doesnt mean he isnt a business man. he is quite intellegent, he is known to people in his home land of Croatia as Senator Filipovic. poliics, business, respect, and kickin ass&#8230 what a well rounded guy

understandable&#8230 afte ryou have been doing it for this long, i suppose that endorsements and big money at reasonable stakes makes alot more sense.

on top of that i think he has proven himself enough to the point that nobody will accuse him of being &#8220chicken&#8221. unless of course they dont knwo what or who they are talking about&#8230
