News and NotesOct. 21 PRIDE participant Kevin Randleman’s license to compete in the state of Nevada was revoked this morning, stemming from a suspect urinalysis submitted just prior to the bout. Though no traces of non-approved substances were indicated in his results, Randleman’s urinalysis was devoid of human hormones. Present at the Las Vegas meeting, an emotional Randleman admitted to replacing what should have been his sample with one provided to him in a bottle. Randleman was also fined $5,000 of his $40,000 purse, and may re-apply for licensure on Oct. 21, 2007. - Gilbert Yvel application for a license to fight in Nevada was denied and he will not be fighting on the upcoming PRIDE show. Yvel was scheduled to fight Sergei Kharitonov. - Kit Cope and Joe Pearson have both received temporary suspensions.
