Longtime veteran Justin McCully has been forced out of his scheduled heavyweight bout against Neil Grove at UFC 95 after suffering a cut during a recent training session that will not be healed in time for the event later this month.
According to MMA Weekly, former International Fight League fighter Mike Ciesnolevicz will be serving as an injury-replacement for McCully, who is expected to only be sidelined until next month.
Ciesnolevicz, a Miletich Fighting Systems product, fought nine times in the IFL before it’s demise last year, winning five of those bouts, including two against “Ultimate Fighter” alumnus Alex Schoenauer. The 29-year-old most recently competed at Adrenaline MMA’s second show, where he scored a first-round submission win over Derek Mehman.
