To promote his upcoming UFC 130 light heavyweight main event against "Ultimate Fighter" product Matt Hamill, former UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton "Rampage" Jackson appeared on Monday's  "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" on CBS.

Are Fedor, M-1 About to Screw Strikeforce?

It's been nearly a month since Fedor Emelianenko fell to Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva and promptly announced that he was leaning towards ending the greatest career that this sport has ever seen.

Since then, it remains unknown whether or not PRIDE's final heavyweight champion will fight once more, but the word coming out of Emelianenko's camp is that he is preparing for a return to action in the near future. In the meantime, Emelianenko's handlers, M-1 Global, have also announced a deal with Showtime that will have the network air four M-1 Challenge events this year.

— Following his loss to Brian Ebersole at UFC 127 this past weekend, longtime veteran Chris Lytle is reportedly considering retirement . The Indiana native also apparently underwent surgery during his training camp to prepare for Ebersole and original opponent Carlos Condit and had his meniscus removed from his right leg, leaving him obviously less than 100% for the bout. — The 14 member cast of "The Ultimate Fighter 13" reality show was announced today by Spike TV officials. The lineup includes Shamar Bailey, Charlie Radar, Myles Jury, Len Bentley, Michael Bowman, Nordin Asrih, Chris Cope, Zach Davis, Tony Ferguson, Javier Torres, Ryan McGillivray, Ramsey Nijem, Clay Harvison and Keon Caldwell. Strikeforce “Fedor vs Silva” Post-Fight Videos

Half of the quarterfinals of Strikeforce's first-ever heavyweight grand prix tournament are now complete with Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva and Sergei Kharitonov moving on after pulling off a pair of memorable upsets.

Shane del Rosario, Chad Griggs and Valentijn Overeem also won a trio of reserve bouts, placing themselves as the frontrunners in case someone in the eight-man (now six-man) field is unable to compete.

— Despite the UFC officially announcing Wanderlei Silva vs. Brian Stann for UFC 130 in May, sources have stated that Silva will not be healthy enough to compete at the event and that the bout was announced prematurely, as the fight was never actually signed. — Jeffrey David Kirby was sentenced to nine years in prison today for his role in a March 2009 car crash that killed Tapout co-founder Charles "Mask Lewis. — HDNet today added the undercard of Strikeforce's "Fedor vs. Silva" event to their scheduled lineup for February 12. — A lightweight bout between "TUF 2" winner Joe Stevenson and WEC veteran Danny Castillo has been inked for UFC on Versus 3, which is slated for March 3 in Louisville, KY. Spike TV to Telecast 12 Live ‘UFC Prelims’ in 2011

Spike TV will telecast 12 live “UFC Prelims” in 2011, featuring many of the best mixed martial arts fighters competing on undercard bouts prior to live UFC Pay-Per-View events. Spike has aired 13 “UFC Prelims,” beginning with UFC 103 in September 2009, with an average viewership of 1.5 million.

The first “UFC Prelims” in 2011 on Spike will air live on Saturday, February 5 at 9 p.m. ET/ 6 p.m. PT from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas with undercard bouts from UFC 126: Silva vs. Belfort.

An explosive lightweight bout between Paul Kelly (12-3) vs. Donald Cerrone (13-3, 1 NC) will be featured, as well as a featherweight clashing pitting Chad Mendes (9-0) against Michihiro Omigawa (12-8-1).

— Japanese Olympic gold medalist judoka Satoshi Ishii is reportedly considered a move to Strikeforce, possibly as as next month for a "Challengers" event scheduled on February 18. Ishii is planning to drop down to the light heavyweight division as well. The 24-year-old last competed at Dynamite!! 2010, winning an unanimous decision over famed K-1 kickboxer Jerome LeBanner. — UFC heavyweight contender Junior Dos Santos has selected a coaching staff for his upcoming stint as a coach on "The Ultimate Fighter 13", which is set to debut March 30 on Spike. The quartet will include boxing coach Luis Carlos Dorea, BJJ champion Antonio Peinado, Muay Thai trainer Billy Scheibe and Rafael Alejarra, who formerly served as a conditioning coach for Wanderlei Silva. The UFC and video game giant THQ are once again preparing for the launch of their sophomore effort into MMA video gaming with the release of teaser videos.  The game this year will have competition in the marketplace with EASports releasing a video game as well.  But THQ has promised an revamped gaming experience like no other.  Second generation games often improve vast amounts over the initial offerings.
