Maximum Fighting Championship lightweight title-holder Antonio McKee will be unable to defend his title at MFC 28: Supremacy due to a knee injury.
Drew Fickett, McKee’s scheduled opponent for the co-main event, will maintain his spot on the card in a showdown against replacement Matt Veach (15-2). The Fickett-Veach encounter will be a three-round bout contested at a catchweight of 160 pounds.
“I’m disappointed not to be facing McKee for the title but it’s only a matter of time until I get my hands on the MFC lightweight belt,” said Fickett.
