The Daily Recap is a collection of news and notes from around the web that will be posted at the end of each day. Bout signings, injury news and much more can all be found here.

Aaron Simpson is considering a drop down to the middleweight division following his split decision loss to Ronny Markes at last night's UFC on FUEL TV 1 event. “I just don’t cut for this weight class. I look at a guy like Frankie Edgar, thinking I can do the same thing, but I’m dealing with a lot of size. Maybe it means a move down to 170, I don’t know.  Right now it hurts to lose,” Simpson said after the fight. [MMA Weekly]

"TUF" 14 product Akira Corassani has been forced to bow out of his scheduled UFC on FUEL TV 2 featherweight bout against Jason Young after suffering an undisclosed injury during a recent training session. UFC on FUEL Notebook: Ellenberger Seeking Condit Rematch, Future Main Events Now Five Rounds & More

UFC President Dana White had a lot to say following a successful debut on FUEL TV on Wednesday night, but it was welterweight contender Jake Ellenberger that finally broke out of his shell and suggested a rematch with interim champion Carlos Condit while Georges St. Pierre heals at last night's post-fight press conference.

Ellenberger was asked about the possibility of a second fight with Condit following his unanimous decision win over Diego Sanchez last night in a post-fight interview with Jon Anik. However, the Omaha native didn't say much, stating that he was unsure what was next.

The 26-year-old took on Condit in his UFC debut back in September 2009, dropping a razor-close split decision that saw Ellenberger nearly put Condit's lights out in the first round.

Jake Ellenberger took all he could handle from tenacious veteran Diego Sanchez but ended up earning a unanimous decision in front of his hometown crowd in the main event of the first-ever UFC on FUEL TV event in Ellenberger's hometown of Omaha, Nebraska on Wednesday night.

The fight capped off an action-packed card at what looked to be a sold-out Omaha Civic Auditorium. The partisan crowd saw Ellenberger take one step closer to a UFC welterweight title shot with his six straight win in the division.

Ellenberger, who currently trains alongside Mark Munoz at Reign MMA, controlled the fight early on, frustrated Sanchez with good footwork and a steady diet of jabs and strong right hands. An always game Sanchez remained in the pocket and tried to keep up with his foe, landing occasional shots.

Koscheck, Hendricks Set for Title Eliminator at UFC on FOX in May

A pivotal welterweight clash with title implications is apparently set for the UFC's third FOX show in May as one-time title challenger Josh Koscheck will collide with fellow wrestler Johny Hendricks, who is coming off of a shocking 12-second KO of Jon Fitch in December.

UFC President Dana White announced the bout via Twitter this evening. The bout will likely be part of the televised main card on FOX. The event is scheduled to be headlined by another title eliminator featuring lightweights Jim Miller and Nate Diaz.

Koscheck is fresh off of a narrow split decision win over Mike Pierce at UFC 143 last weekend. It was a lackluster performance by Koscheck, who struggled with Pierce's surprising striking and cage control. Prior to Hendricks' career-best win over Fitch, the Team Takedown member won eight of nine fights under the Zuffa banner, his lone loss a decision to Rick Story in December of 2010.
