Faber, Cruz to Coach TUF 15

Urijah Faber and Dominick Cruz will coach opposite each other on the upcoming 15th season of "The Ultimate Fighter" reality show before fighting in a rubber match next summer.

The UFC announced the pairing on Tuesday evening. The latest edition of "TUF" will be the first to air on FX and is scheduled to debut in March.

Lightweights and welterweights are scheduled to compete for two six-figure UFC contracts. Faber and Cruz will be the first bantamweights to coach the show since its inception.

Spike Announces “TUF 14” Cast

The complete cast has been announced for "The Ultimate Fighter 14" which debuts on September 21 and will serve as the final season of the reality series on Spike TV before it shifts over to FX in 2012.

"TUF 14" will be the first season to ever feature fighters in the featherweight and bantamweight divisions. The 32 hopefuls will be coached by UFC middleweight contenders Jason "Mayhem" Miller and Michael Bisping, who will fight on the show's finale in December.

— Following his loss to Brian Ebersole at UFC 127 this past weekend, longtime veteran Chris Lytle is reportedly considering retirement . The Indiana native also apparently underwent surgery during his training camp to prepare for Ebersole and original opponent Carlos Condit and had his meniscus removed from his right leg, leaving him obviously less than 100% for the bout. — The 14 member cast of "The Ultimate Fighter 13" reality show was announced today by Spike TV officials. The lineup includes Shamar Bailey, Charlie Radar, Myles Jury, Len Bentley, Michael Bowman, Nordin Asrih, Chris Cope, Zach Davis, Tony Ferguson, Javier Torres, Ryan McGillivray, Ramsey Nijem, Clay Harvison and Keon Caldwell. — Despite the UFC officially announcing Wanderlei Silva vs. Brian Stann for UFC 130 in May, sources have stated that Silva will not be healthy enough to compete at the event and that the bout was announced prematurely, as the fight was never actually signed. — Jeffrey David Kirby was sentenced to nine years in prison today for his role in a March 2009 car crash that killed Tapout co-founder Charles "Mask Lewis. — Japanese Olympic gold medalist judoka Satoshi Ishii is reportedly considered a move to Strikeforce, possibly as as next month for a "Challengers" event scheduled on February 18. Ishii is planning to drop down to the light heavyweight division as well. The 24-year-old last competed at Dynamite!! 2010, winning an unanimous decision over famed K-1 kickboxer Jerome LeBanner. — UFC heavyweight contender Junior Dos Santos has selected a coaching staff for his upcoming stint as a coach on "The Ultimate Fighter 13", which is set to debut March 30 on Spike. The quartet will include boxing coach Luis Carlos Dorea, BJJ champion Antonio Peinado, Muay Thai trainer Billy Scheibe and Rafael Alejarra, who formerly served as a conditioning coach for Wanderlei Silva. Kimbo Slice to Fight Roy Nelson on Next Week’s “TUF 10” Episode

Even if you didn’t watch last night’s episode of “The Ultimate Fighter 10”, you’ve probably heard about it anyway. Former EliteXC star Kimbo Slice will step into the UFC’s Octagon for the first time to face former IFL heavyweight champion and “TUF 10” tournament favorite Roy Nelson on next week’s episode on Spike. Above is a little video previewing the bout between the two.

Spike Announces “TUF 10: The Aftermath”

NEW YORK – Spike TV’s hit series “The Ultimate Fighter” has propelled mixed martial arts into the American mainstream while becoming the most successful franchise in the network’s history. With its tenth iteration having premiered to record ratings, Spike.com will launch the original series “The Ultimate Fighter: The Aftermath.”

Hosted by Amir Sadollah, the new show will be a video roundtable discussion about the on-air episode that precedes it, with the fighters that competed in an elimination bout on hand to talk about what went on, both inside and outside of the Octagon, during “The Ultimate Fighter: Heavyweights”.

The Ultimate Fighter 10: Meet The Heavyweights

The Ultimate Fighter 10 premieres on Wednesday, September 16 following the live broadcast of UFC Fight Night 19 featuring Melvin Guillard vs. Nate Diaz. The Ultimate Fighter 10 will include coaches Quinton Jackson and Rashad Evans along with established heavyweights Kimbo Slice, Roy Nelson, and Wes Sims.

Hamill vs. Jones Slated For The Ultimate Fighter 10 Finale

Fresh off signing a new multi-fight contract with the UFC, light heavyweight prospect Jon “Bones” Jones will lock horns with Matt Hamill at The Ultimate Fighter 10 Finale which is currently slated for December 5 at the Palms Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Also expected to appear on The Ultimate Fighter 10 Finale is a middleweight attraction featuring Alessio Sakara and Rouimar Palhares.
