It also raises an interesting question: Can a fight from TUF be nominated for KO of the year?

Despite reports of The Ultimate Fighter moving Wednesdays, it is now being reported that TUF will air on Tuesdays at 9 PM ET. The news comes from an advertisement in UFC 360 that indicates The Ultimate Fighter 17: Team Jones vs. Team Sonnen will debut on Tues, January 22 at 9 PM on FX.

Speaking of TUF 17, Dana White threw up a picture of himself with Mike Tyson on Twitter while watching fights for the upcoming season.

Ivan Menjivar and Urijah Faber will settle some unfinished business at UFC 157 in Anahiem. The two bantamweights originally battled at TKO 24: Eruption and Menjivar was disqualified for kicking a downed opponent. [MMAWeekly]

The Daily Recap: Fitch-Maia at UFC 156, St. Pierre-Silva News & More

The UFC has announced that welterweight contenders Jon Fitch and Demian Maia will lock horns at UFC 156. UFC president Dana White said, “Maia hopes to move up the welterweight rankings by taking out perennial contender Fitch. Fitch wants to build on his Fight of the Night-winning victory over Erick Silva." [UFC]

Despite earlier reports of The Ultimate Fighter being moved to Wednesday nights on FX, a FX official has stated that it’s highly unlikely TUF will air on Wednesday nights. An official announcement is expected to come within the next two or three weeks. [MMA Fighting]

The Daily Recap: Injuries, TUF News & More

The injury bug continues to wreak havoc on the UFC as Eddie Yagan and Gray Maynard join Shane Carwin as the next group fighters to withdraw from upcoming bouts.

Yagan was forced to pull out of his fight with Dennis Siver after he was hospitalized with swelling around his brain. According to the report, Yagan returned home following a training session and after suffering from a headache and vomiting, Yagan went to the ER and was subsequently hospitalized. Yagan’s doctor stated that he didn’t feel that surgery was necessary and that the swelling should go down in the next few days. Nam Phan will replace Yagan and face Siver at UFC on FX 5. [MMAWeekly]

In other news, Joe Lauzon announced on Facebook that Maynard was injured and his new opponent would be Jim Miller. No details were released regarding Maynard’s injury.

Three Bouts Added to The Ultimate Fighter Live Finale in Las Vegas

A trio of bouts have been added to "The Ultimate Fighter Live Finale", which is scheduled to take place on June 1 at The Pearl Theatre at The Palms Casino & Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Among the fights announced by the UFC on Friday included featherweight battles between slick grappler Charles Oliveira and former "TUF" winner Jonathan Brookins, Hawaii native Max Holloway and Minnesota prospect Pat Schilling and "TUF 14" alumnus John Albert and Byron Bloodworth.

Headlining the event will be a pivotal welterweight clash between top contenders Jake Ellenberger and Martin Kampmann with the winner in line for a UFC welterweight title shot between injured reigning champ Georges St. Pierre and interim title holder Carlos Condit.

“TUF: Live” Ratings Continue Below Average Trend

The UFC's decision to move their "Ultimate Fighter" franchise to FX has been a breath of fresh air for hardcore fans, but not so great in grabbing the attention of the casuals. The ratings for "TUF: Live", the 15th season of the reality show have remained below expectations, dipping down slightly after week four.

Ratings for the fourth episode of "The Ultimate Fighter: Live" were down slightly and resulted in an average audience of 1.1 million viewers.

Friday's episode, which featured the season's third opening-round matchup, followed the 1.2 million viewers who tuned in for the third episode and the 1.3 for the season debut.

The figure marked an eight percent ratings decrease from week to week.

The bad blood between Urijah Faber and Dominick Cruz continues to boil and is going to make for a very interesting season of "TUF". In the above video, the two coaches discuss their feud and past fights with each other with Todd Harris on this week's episode of "UFC Tonight".

The debut episode of "The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil" will stream live on Sunday at 11:30 PM ET on TUF.tv with subtitles. The reality show was originally thought to be airing in real time on FUEL TV, but will stream on the internet instead. — The Ultimate Fighter 14 Finale averaged 2.5. million viewers this past Saturday night, the last "TUF" finale that will air on Spike TV before the reality series shifts over to FX in 2012. The event also earned a household rating of 1.7, as well as ratings of 2.4 and 2.9 in the male 18-49 and 18-34 demographics, making it the highest-rated program on ad-supported cable in that age range. — With T.J. Grant sidelined due to injury, "TUF" season eight lightweight Efrain Escudero will return to the UFC to take on Jacob Volkmann in at UFC 141 on December at the 30 MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Escudero was abruptly released from the UFC after posting a 2-2 record, becoming only the second "TUF" winner to be released at the time. Since then, he has won five of six in regional promotions.
