- Kazushi Sakuraba landed in Brazil earlier this week to train with the Chute Boxe team in preparation for his pending bout at K-1 and EliteXC’s event on June 2nd. An opponent for Sakuraba has not yet been named but rumors have been floating around for a couple of weeks now that he will be matched up against Royce Gracie for a rematch of their famous 90 min brawl in PRIDE…

- Spencer Fisher will take on Sam Stout at UFC Fight Night 10 on June 9th…

- KOAT, an ABC tlevision affiliate in Albuquerque, New Mexico is reporting that the city will host UFC 74 on August 25th at the University of New Mexico’s basketball arena which seats 18,000. They stated they received the information from Diego Sanchez who also said that he would be fighting on the card…

- The UFC apparently chose not to administer drug tests to the fighters that competed at UFC 69 and UFC 70 according to the Houston Chronicle.

The card will feature two title bouts as Mark Hominick will take on Hatsu Hioki in an attempt to regain the featherweight title which was once his. Hominick’s teammate Sam Stout will also be fighting in a title bout as he’ll be defending his lightweight title against Fabio Holanda.

Jonathan Goulet was expected to face Steve Vigneault in a welterweight title bout but the fight was cancelled after Vigneault suffered a knee injury during training which will take 4 to 6 weeks to heal. Goulet will now take on Thomas Schulte in what is currently a non-title bout though that may change in the near future.

- Icon Sport will be holding an event February 9th and the headline bout will be a battle between UFC and Pride veteran “Ruthless” Robbie Lawler and Trevor Garret. Also on the card will be Renato Verissimo, Jeremy Williams, and Scott Junk.

- UFC veterans Justin Eilers and Pedro Rizzo will fight March 9th at the American Airline Center. The fight will take place in the new organization dubbed the ‘International Fighters Association’ and it will be televised on HDNet. HDNet previously televised the WEC until it was purchased by the UFC and moved to Versus. The matchmaker will be UFC and Pride veteran Guy Metzger and the ring announcer will be Bruce Buffer. - Mitsuhiro Ishida has vacated his Shooto Pacific Rim 154-pound championship title.

- In an article on the TKO homepage, UFC matchmaker confirmed that Mark Hominick and Sam Stout would be back in the UFC in the New Year.

Stout to Defend TKO Title

TKO Major League MMA has announced that UFC veteran Sam “Hands of Stone” Stout will defend his TKO lightweight title against Fabio Holanda at TKO 28: Inevitable. This fight marks the third title fight on the card which includes a battle for the vacant welterweight title between Jonathan Goulet and Stephane Vigneault.

Also on the card will be UFC veteran Mark “The Machine” Hominick who will be battling Hatsu Hioki for the TKO featherweight title. Hominick recently lost the belt to Hioki at TKO 25: Confrontation when Hioki submitted Hominick late in the second. Since that fight Hominick has gone 3-0 with a win in the UFC over Jorge Gurgle.

Stout to Defend Title Against Estrada

TKO World Lightweight Champion Sam Stout will defend his title against Jay Estrada at TKO 27: Reincarnation on September 29th. Stout and Estrada have fought before in what happened to be the professional MMA debut for both fighters -  Estrada submitted Stout in the first round.
