Junie Browning Arrested, Cut From UFC

The Ultimate Fighter veteran Junie Allen Browning was arrested on Tuesday in Henderson, Nevada.

According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Browning was taken to St. Rose Dominican Hospital’s Siena campus after he ingested a reported 16 pills of Klonopin. The report also states that Browning tried to leave the hospital and while doing so he pushed a female nurse, punched a male nurse and kicked a male nurse.

The LVRJ report states that Browning yelled, “Do you know who I am? I will kill you and rape your family.” Browning faces three counts of battery on a health care provider.

Quinton “Rampage” Jackson isn’t done venting yet.

In his latest response to remarks by UFC President Dana White and fellow “TUF 10” coach Rashad Evans, Jackson reiterated his stance on leaving the UFC in order to pursue acting, gave his feelings on Evans and White, and listed the differences between competing for the UFC and PRIDE among other things.

— Seasoned veteran Javier Vasquez has been tapped to replace an injured Mark Hominick against Deividas Taurosevicius in a featherweight bout at WEC 43 on October 10 in San Antonio, Texas. Hominick will reportedly be sidelined for about a month due to a reoccurring back injury. Vasquez fell in his WEC debut last month, dropping a split decision to L.C. Davis at WEC 42. [MMA Junkie]

Shine Fighters promoter and “TUF” alumnus Dorian Price announced Mayorga’s participation at a future event against an opponent yet-to-be-determined. Strikeforce, Fedor to Hold Open Workout in New York City on Wednesday

Longtime heavyweight king and new Strikeforce acquisition Fedor Emelianenko will be part of an open workout session this Wednesday in New York City. The event is free and open to the public, fans and media alike.

The festivities, which will also include a meet-and-greet and an autograph session with Emelianenko, is slated to begin at 3:30 PM ET at the Fighthouse MMA gym, which is located at 122 West 27th Street, 2nd Floor in Manhattan.

Bout agreements have apparently been signed. Gormley was originally slated to face Ben Rothwell at the event but Rothwell was recently moved into a main card matchup against Cain Velasquez.
