Thiago Santos missed weight by twelve pounds on Thursday evening and another planned Bellator heavyweight tournament final meeting between Santos and Eric Prindle has yet again been scrapped.

Following the weigh-ins for Bellator 62, multiple outlets are now reporting Prindle was declared the season-five heavyweight tourney winner and will now meet reigning heavyweight title holder Cole Konrad later this year. The switch in plans comes just a week after a matchup between Santos and Prindle was postponed due to Prindle reportedly being ill.

UFC lightweight contender Anthony Pettis has decided to go under the knife to alleviate some nagging injuries and is currently looking at a return to action at some point this summer.

The news comes from Tuesday's episode of "UFC Tonight" and was subsequently confirmed with Pettis' manager, Mike Roberts, by MMA Weekly. Pettis is expected to be sidelined for about eight weeks.

Pettis recently scored a highlight-reel head kick KO of Joe Lauzon at UFC 144 in Japan last month, the same event in which Henderson won the title with a unanimous, but closely contested nod over Edgar.
