BodogFight veterans Jorge Masvidal and Matt Lee are set to clash at Strikeforce’s party at the Playboy Mansion on September 29th according to The Fight Network.
Masvidal has been one of BodogFight’s fastest rising stars, collecting wins over Keith Wisniewski and Steve Berger along the way. He earned the biggest win of his young career when he knocked out UFC and PRIDE veteran Yves Edwards with a head kick at BodogFight: Alvarez vs Lee back in July. Masvidal also owns a win over Joe Lauzon as well.
Lee is coming off an unanimous decision loss to former BodogFight Welterweight Champion Eddie Alvarez in a hard fought battle in July. Lee has also gone the distance with Jason Ireland and Edson Berto as well. This will be Lee’s first fight under the Strikeforce banner.
No word on whether this fight will take place at lightweight or welterweight.

This past Saturday was BodogFight’s first event in the United States. I took the trip to Sovereign Bank Arena in Trenton, NJ to check it out.
If you’ve tuned into BodogFight on Ion Television, you know it goes through a full round of production before airing. Many camera angles, splashy backgrounds and a full round of editing.
I wondered how this event would be live. Ten fights in one night. A good-sized card taking place with no chance for edits or MTV-style cuts.
BodogFight lightweight Jorge “GameBred” Masvidal has officially joined the American Top Team family in Coconut Creek, FL.
American Top Team is pleased to announce our newest team member Jorge Masvidal.
After training with our pro fight team and coaches for a few weeks, Jorge decided to make it official, and become part of the team.
Jorge Masvidal (10-2) has spent the majority of his career fighting in AFC and most recently BodogFight. Masvidal holds wins over the likes of Keith Wisniewski, Steve Berger, Joe Lauzon and Nuri Shakir. Masvidal’s next fight will come July 14th when he faces Yves Edwards in BodogFight.
