MMA Live Headed to Television?

It’s no secret that ESPN’s “MMA Live” has quickly become a huge success. While ESPN has opted to keep the weekly show exclusive to the internet so far, it has still managed to garner a slew of viewers each week, so much so, that company executives are planning to put it on television in the near future.

Kenny Florian, who serves as one of the show’s usual panelists, stated that the network could have the show moved to TV in the next few months on Monday’s edition of TAGG Radio according to our friends at MMA Junkie.

“I don’t want to let the cat out of the bag, but soon,” Florian said on the show. “The next couple of months, we’re hoping to get [MMA Live] on ESPN or ESPN 2, and the sponsors are getting on board as we speak, so we should have a deal very, very soon. We’re all very pumped.”

The show usually runs between 30-45 minutes and is hosted by Jon Anik. Franklin McNeil of the Newark Star-Ledger is also a regular panelist along with Florian. Episodes go live on ESPN.com every Thursday at 6 PM ET. As always, we’ll have this week’s show promptly posted on the front of the site.
