Chicago, Ill. – In front of a deafening standing room only crowd in the windy city, the Bellator Welterweight semi-finals rocked the historic Aragon Entertainment Center in Chicago.  The intense action sent East Harlem phenom Lyman Good into a compelling world title fight against Dominican sensation Omar De La Cruz in a battle of dominating young welterweights where one will take home the world title and $100,000.

In the opening tournament action, powerhouse Lyman Good came out swinging in this tightly contested match with Jorge “The Naked Man” Ortiz.  After exchanging blows and stalemating on the ground, Good delivered a series of dominating strikes leading to a deep cut that caused the ringside doctor to stop the fight via a technical knockout (TKO).

Headlining the event was an intensely aggressive performance by Dominican sensation Omar De La Cruz who dominated former UFC Champion Dave Menne.  Menne entered the fight forcefully attacking De La Cruz and taking him to the ground, but Del La Cruz refused to play the ground game and returned Menne to his feet.  De La Cruz then came at Menne with fury, landing multiple strikes to the retreating legend with the referee calling the action as a TKO victory for De La Cruz.
