Video: An Extended Look at UFC 139

Ahead of the UFC's debut this weekend in San Jose, here's an extended video preview of UFC 139, which boasts a stacked main card and is headlined by Strikeforce light heavyweight champion Dan Henderson's return to the UFC against former UFC title holder Mauricio "Shogun" Rua.

A hard-hitting middleweight clash between Wanderlei Silva and debuting Cung Le and Urijah Faber's return to action against fellow former WEC champ Brian Bowles are also featured.

It's been a heck of a ride for Carlos Condit thus far and it's not even close to being over yet.

Just hours after learning that his title shot against Georges St. Pierre (thanks Nick Diaz) has been postponed for the near future due to a GSP knee injury, Condit released a statement on the situation through his management team.

Spike Announces “TUF 14” Cast

The complete cast has been announced for "The Ultimate Fighter 14" which debuts on September 21 and will serve as the final season of the reality series on Spike TV before it shifts over to FX in 2012.

"TUF 14" will be the first season to ever feature fighters in the featherweight and bantamweight divisions. The 32 hopefuls will be coached by UFC middleweight contenders Jason "Mayhem" Miller and Michael Bisping, who will fight on the show's finale in December.

— Former WEC featherweight king will try to get back on track in a pivotal bout against former WEC bantamweight title holder Brian Bowles in a main card bout tapped for UFC 139, which takes place on November 19 at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California. Faber last fell to Dominick Cruz via unanimous decision in a failed bantamweight title bid at UFC 132 earlier this month while Bowles returned to the cage after over a year on the sidelines due to injury and took a unanimous nod over Takeya Mizugaki. — Nate Marquardt is among many high-profile free agent fighters being courted by upstart Brazilian promotion Amazon Forest Combat for their debut show on September 14. Among those already signed to compete are Royler Gracie and Paulo Filho and Satoshi Ishii, who will face each other in a likely light heavyweight bout. Patrick Cote, Marcus Davis, Jordan Smith and Rony Torres are among the fighters offered bouts on the card. Cruz to Defend Title Against Johnson at UFC on Versus 6

Fresh off of his hard-fought unanimous decision win over Urijah Faber at UFC 132 earlier this month, UFC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz already has his next title defense lined up.

Cruz will reportedly defend his belt against top contender Demetrious Johnson at UFC on Versus 6, which will take place on October 1 from the Verizon Center in Washington D.C. The news comes from NBC Sports, quoting UFC President Dana White.

The Cruz-Johnson bout will be the first UFC title fight shown on cable television since Quinton "Rampage" Jackson unified the UFC and PRIDE 205 lb. belts over Dan Henderson at UFC 75 in September 2007.

Tokoro Wins DREAM Bantamweight Grand Prix

Hideo Tokoro bested fellow submission specialist Masakazu Imanari via unanimous decision to win DREAM's inaugural bantamweight grand prix tournament at the organization's "Fight for Japan: Japan Grand Prix Final" event on Saturday at the Ariake Coliseum in Tokyo, Japan.

A pair of title defenses also took place: Hiroyuki Takaya grinded out a hard-fought split decision win over former Olympic wrestler Kazuyuki Miyata and Gegard Mousasi took out challenger Hiroshi Izumi in quick and impressive fashion, scoring a first round stoppage of the Japanese judoka.

Another notable winners on the card included world-ranked lightweight Tatsuya Kawajiri, DREAM welterweight champion Marius Zaromskis and DREAM bantamweight grand prix third-place winner Kenji Osawa.

All Fighters on Weight for DREAM Japan GP Final

All sixteen fighters scheduled to compete at DREAM's "Fight for Japan: Japan Grand Prix Final" event on Saturday successfully made weight yesterday afternoon.

Seasoned veteran Drew Fickett originally came in two pounds over the 154-lb limit for his fight against Tatsuya Kawajiri, but  shed the extra weight and hit the required mark a couple of hours later.

The eight-fight card, which will not air live in North America, features a pair of title fights - DREAM light heavyweight champion Gegard Mousasi taking on Hiroshi Izumi and featherweight title holder Hiroyuki Takaya returning to face Kazuyuki Miyata - as well as the bantamweight grand prix finals featuring submission specialists Masakazu Imanari and Hideo Tokoro.

— Bellator season four featherweight tourney winner Patricio "Pitbull" Friere will reportedly challenge Joe Warren for Bellator's featherweight title in rematch on July 23 at Bellator 47. Friere knocked off Georgi Karakhanyan, Wilson Reis and Daniel Straus to earn another shot at Warren, who earned a tight split decision over Friere in their originial meeting in June of last year. — Chad Mendes has agreed to put his top contender status on the line and face slick submission specialist Rani Yahya in a featherweight bout at UFC 133 on August 6. Mendes, who has started a perfect 10-0 as a pro, has won five straight fights under the WEC and UFC banner. Meanwhile his opponent, Yahya, is coming off of an unanimous decision win over former WEC featherweight champion Mike Thomas Brown in January. [UFC.com]

Here are the latest MMA on Tap fighter rankings. We will be updating these every month or whenever an adjustment is needed, like after a major event for example. The rankings break down into seven different lists of ten, each of them by division.

If you ever want to compare these with your own or just take a look at the latest update, you can find them under the "Top 10" category in our features section. The organization a fighter is currently under contract to is listed next to the fighter’s name.

The rankings were tabulated by the MMA on Tap staff. Feel free to chime in with your own lists, thoughts, or suggestions.

Johnson-Barao Pegged for TUF 13 Finale

A bantamweight encounter between rising prospect Demetrious Johnson and Brazilian sensation Renan Barao has been tapped to take place at The Ultimate Fighter 13 Finale on June 4 in Las Vegas.

Tatame.com was the first to report on the bout.

Lightweight contender Clay Guida and WEC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis are expected to clash in the show's main event.
